Description
Maybeck, Bernard R.
Palace of Fine Arts and Lagoon, Panama-Pacific International Exposition, 1915.
With an introduction by Frank Morton Todd. San Francisco, P. Elder and Company 1915. 21 cm.
Maybeck wrote very little. He starts this short essay off with: “In discussing a subject such as that of making plans for a World’s Fair, it is necessary to assume that the hearers admit there are mental processes not to be expressed in language.” He then goes on to explain it … in language. I love his work. (Cat. 6.11)
